Casa de las Libélulas

Our stay at Casa de las Libélulas was wonderful. The scenery is beautiful, and having the reservoir right there with its small private beach feels like a real luxury. We stayed with my teenage children and enjoyed several different activities on the reservoir, having a lot of fun together. Paula, the owner of the house by the lake, has a kayak and also provided us with life jackets and water shoes, so we were very well equipped. He is a very kind person and is always attentive and available in case you need anything. The house is tastefully decorated, very clean and well equipped. I highly recommend it for a getaway where you can disconnect, enjoy nature and still have all the comforts you need.

We, Dutch family of six, stayed in Paula’ house for almost a week and had an amazing and unforgettable time. The house was exactly as pictured — maybe even better —: beautifully decorated, fully equipped, and of course in an unbeatable location. A special mention goes to Paula himself: warm, attentive and very thoughtful, hospitable in an unobtrusive way. He told us full of enthusiasm about the house, the lake, the forest, the beach, and all the local 'wildlife'. And his passion was contagious; we're - very - enthusiastic ourselves. We absolutely love staying in places like this,: bit off the beaten track, with peace and quiet and surrounded by nature. And preferably with a local host who knows the area, the best spots and all about background/history - and is willing to share it with his guests. This stay certainly was another outstanding example of that. Many thanks to Paula, for this unforgettable stay and of course for being such a fantastic warm and welcoming host.

Beautiful place. I spent a few weeks there to write a book in peace, and the setting is absolutely stunning. Every day was a spectacle, watching the light change over the lake and listening to the birds. I went kayaking, watched the stars from a hammock, and truly enjoyed the peace and quiet. Paula is a wonderful host, warm and welcoming while always respectful of my privacy. And the best part: it is only an hour and fifteen minutes from Madrid! I highly recommend this place if you want to get away from the noise of the city, work in complete peace, and reconnect with nature.

It felt as if fate had brought us to this place! I had never stayed anywhere so beautiful while still having all the comforts we needed 🤯 It was the perfect getaway for us to reconnect with nature. We were given access to a kayak and had a wonderful time exploring the lake right next to the house 🤩 After a very hectic few months, I was incredibly grateful to feel so comfortable and well looked after. The property itself was spotlessly clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Paula was the perfect host and gave us such a warm welcome, even though we arrived quite late after the eclipse 🥰 We were lucky enough to spend some time with him at the property and even invited her to join us and my friends for a wonderful dinner 💗 It was incredibly hard to leave, but I’m sure we’ll stay here again and see him again! I would recommend this place to absolutely anyone who has the chance to stay here and enjoy the beautiful surrounding landscape 💗
